As Bardia Salour had to leave Iran with his parents in the late 70’s he landed in Germany, because the German authorities were the first to accept the Visa applications.
He grew up in Hamburg and had German, Turkish and Portuguese friends. But at home there was a western-oriented Iranian education, they spoke Farsi and lived a different vibe. In the late 80’s Bardia fell in love with electronic music such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Brian Eno and Giorgio Moroder.
Since 2001 a series of events and projects followed in his beloved city Hamburg. He initially explored his passion for electronic music as a promoter over the years, while booking huge acts for his electroart & Dance For Fans nights at Hamburg’s legendary clubs, such as Waagenbau, Uebel & Gefährlich and EGO.
As a DJ, Bardia is known for his deep & powerful sets. He has played nearly at every club & warehouse worth mentioning in his hometown Hamburg but also beyond Hamburg’s boundaries such as Flex (Vienna), Zukunft (Zürich), ELVIS! (Thessaloniki), Watergate (B), Katerholzig (B), Tresor (B), Salon Zur Wilden Renate (B), Sisyphos (B), KaterBlau (B), Culture Box (Copenhagen), Ritter Butzke (B), Chalet (B), Baby Boa (Geneva), Frame House (Verona) etc.
Bardia’s style is a distinctive dark, dub influenced deep sound – a symbiosis between House and Techno. His music liberates the energy of club music and everyone who cares about an intense experience of sound and deepness will be catched uncompromisingly.
Producing music with his colleague Jakob Seidensticker was Bardia’s huge move in 2011. The Seidensticker & Salour “Weird Bazar” E.P., “Sue is blue ” E.P. and “Katzenjammer“ appeared on Einmaleins Musik, FormResonance and URSL. The records picked up support from top international acts.
After releasing on Labels such as VISIONQUEST, MASOMENOS, URSL, LOCAL RIDER (New York), TREAT YOUR DJ RIGHT, IGLOO Rec., WIR/Treibstoff Bardia Salour is focusing now on his solo productions. The first result is the 3 Track EP „Point Break“ on Malta based imprint DAZED&CONFUSED. NEW Release: PERSEPOLIS on Salomo Rec. (Berlin) including Sid Le Rock Remix.
